Maximizing Revenue Through Organic Waste-to-Energy Solutions

Nexus PMG was selected as a partner to provide advisory services on the production of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) by leveraging food waste feedstock.

During a sale period, Nexus PMG was brought in to provide advisory services on an RNG distressed asset to assess the facility’s processes and equipment and develop recommendations to maximize revenue.

While the facility was initially designed to process food waste through anaerobic digesters, Nexus PMG identified a significant roadblock: the feedstock was not as high quality as the equipment was designed to properly process.

Nexus PMG provided an on-site assessment of the facility and its Operations and Maintenance systems, program and team, assessing feedstock and treatment methods to increase the production of RNG at the facility.

Nexus PMG advised the company on the best path forward to maximize value of the asset through a comprehensive report on the facility’s current state of operations.

After Nexus PMG assessment and advisory services, the facility was sold for higher-than-expected returns.
