Nexus PMG was engaged to provide project management expertise in Biomass Utilization on the disposal of biosolids, a product of the wastewater treatment process with beneficial uses in agricultural land and reclamation sites.

The Project

Nexus PMG supported the company during a restructuring to turn around a distressed biosolid facility. Though Nexus PMG was initially engaged to provide distressed asset turnaround support services, the scope increased to full turnaround management including due diligence and project management services for capital project execution.

Our Approach

Nexus PMG developed a distressed asset turnaround plan, which included recommendations for cost management, schedule development, and execution planning.

As part of its project management consultant services for capital project implementation, Nexus PMG stationed a site team to provide cost management, scheduling, field engineering support, and reporting.

Additionally, Nexus PMG leveraged its Operational Excellence Framework to drive the completion of Operations and Maintenance systems and programs including Preventive Maintenance plan development, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) set-up and population, communication plans, training plans, and operator round sheets. During the process, the team identified automation and programming deficiencies, and then provided support to fill in gaps.
