Employee Spotlight – Keren Scott

Keren Scott is a senior project accounting and billing professional with over 20 years of experience. Prior to Nexus PMG, she lived in Hawaii where she started her accounting career before moving to Greenville, SC where she worked in all aspects of accounting for an international A/E and construction firm, and eventually became a department manager. Keren holds a BS in Business Professional Management from Nova Southeastern University.

Tell us about yourself and your background.

I was born and raised in West Palm Beach Florida and graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a BS in Business Professional Management. I moved to Hawaii and lived with my brother and his family for several years, starting my accounting career, prior to moving to Greenville, SC. I am married and have a daughter, stepson, and a golden retriever.

What aspect of your job do you enjoy the most?

I enjoy learning new things, creating process improvements, and mentoring teams.

What is your favorite meal?

 I enjoy a variety of delicious foods, but my favorites are Mexican and Italian.

What does leadership mean to you?

A leader is someone who can help others believe in themselves to accomplish their greatness. 

What is your motto or personal mantra?

Don’t ever give up. Especially on yourself.

What are your hobbies outside of work?

I love cooking, baking, and spending time with family, friends, and pets.

What places have you lived in?

I have lived in Florida, Hawaii, and South Carolina.
