What sparked your interest in Nexus PMG?

From the first time I met the Manager of Projects Jake Peer, I could tell that this organization was forward-thinking and had a culture of allowing individuals to excel in whatever they endeavored to do.

What’s the best career lesson you’ve learned so far?

One of the most important lessons I have learned is to always listen and respect your client, colleague, management, or coworkers.

People would be surprised if they knew:

I owned an inn in Brewster, MA.

What is your favorite meal?

For people that know me, they know I am from Maine and there is nothing better than a lobster dinner, eaten at an open-air restaurant on the coast of Maine.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

I often look back and wish I had learned to play a musical instrument.

What does leadership mean to you?

Leadership has several requirements, of which understanding your team member’s capabilities, strengths, and weaknesses is critical to the success of any venture or project. As a person in a leadership role, you must not only focus on the team’s strengths but also encourage them and help improve their weaknesses, all leading to the success of whatever you do.

What is your fondest childhood memory?

We would load up our boat and head up the coast for two weeks and then turn around and hope we made it back home within the next two weeks.

What are your hobbies outside of work?

I enjoy golf and I am a woodworker in my spare time.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

One of the most important pieces of advice I’ve received is that the success of a project rests on the ability of the team members to communicate with each other and their clients. Understanding the goals and expectation is critical to the success of any venture or project.
