Employee Spotlight – Adrian Galvez

Adrian Galvez is the director of operations and performance improvement at Nexus PMG with 40 years of experience in developing and scaling up new technology, engineering design, and operations management of large-scale industrial facilities. In addition to leading multiple successful commercial developments of innovative process technologies, he has also led various efforts with new technology incubation and discovery. His experience ranges over 60 facilities across the globe, covering fine chemicals, food and beverage, biofuels, and algae production.

Adrian is married to his wonderful wife, with who he has four children and six grandchildren. Residing in sunny Phoenix, Arizona, they enjoy hiking, biking, and other outdoor activities.

We are fortunate to have him on our team!

What originally sparked your interest in Nexus PMG?

I met Ben, Steve, and Chris while working on some consulting development. We had great conversations and felt we had closely aligned business philosophies. We were similar in wanting to work on things that made a difference in the world.

What has been your favorite part about working here so far?

I enjoy the people. Everyone cares about what they are doing and works hard to help others. I also enjoy the forward-thinking and collaborative atmosphere of the group.

What skill do you think everyone should learn?

Learn to care about others. People make a difference in lives and companies. Expend your time and energy there.

What is your favorite quote? 

“The world should be a little better for you having lived.”

What is something most people don’t know about you? 

I enjoy science fiction books and movies.

What’s the best advice you could give someone who just started a career in your field?

Listen. Volunteer to help. Don’t give up. Have faith. There will be times that all you have left is that faith and that will carry you through those difficult times.

Remember that it is not just about you. Be open to others.  Keep in mind that there is a God who cares what you do with your life.
